HEIRS is dedicated to preserving, promoting, and advancing the study of local and genealogical history in the original Township of Colchester—now the Town of Essex—with a particular emphasis on Harrow and Colchester South. We maintain a library of printed and digital resources, off er research assistance to the public, host a monthly speaker’s series, and produce well-researched publications. Our mission is to engage the community in the shared work of discovery and preservation. HEIRS is an Ontario registered non-profit corporation and a registered Canadian charity.
